Robert L. Bradley
Our beloved Robert “Bob” Bradley, 71, of Sarasota, FL, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday September 2, 2026. He left this earth surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born on September 15, 1954 in Moline, IL to David & Shirley Bradley. In 1980, he married his love Clara Chesser. They raised 3 children with faith and love. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. No matter the circumstance, he was a steward of God. Whether Bible studying, praying, or lifting his voice in worship, his desire was to glorify God.
Bob touched countless lives. He served at Westside Assembly, Calvary, Caring Place, and other churches over the years. He acted as a Royal Rangers leader, where many young people were shaped by his example and kindness. He offered encouragement, prayers, and performed errands for those in need. His life consistently reflected the Gospel.
Robert worked 20+ years at the Rock Island Arsenal in IL, Don Hinds Ford in IN, and other workplaces. No matter the job, he approached his work with integrity; viewing his vocation as another way to honor God while providing for his family.
Among his earthly achievements, Bob's great joy and legacy is his family & loved ones. One of his favorite pastimes was being an Iowa Hawkeye fan. He followed the games regularly and shared updates with others. He also enjoyed card games, Christian shows, playing light-hearted pranks, and spending time with family & friends. His quick wit, humor, and willingness to help others will be deeply missed.
Those left to honor Robert are his devoted wife of 45 years Clara Bradley, his son John (Tarah) Bradley, granddaughter Elizabeth Espinoza, sister Norma (John) Rymars, sister Cathy (Richard) McGrath, as well as loved nieces/nephews, extended family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister Charlotte, and 2 daughters Jeri Bradley and Mary Bradley. May they have a glorious reunion in heaven.
His remains will be placed in Memorial Park of Davenport, IA. Services to be determined. Donations are welcome and appreciated to help support his dear wife Clara at

Although Bob's loved ones grieve him, they take comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ [John 11:25]. His race has been run. May he hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
