Carla Diane McDonald
Carla Diane Yielding Smith McDonald was born November 1, 1965, in Searcy Arkansas. She passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at her home in Drasco Arkansas.
She is survived by her loving husband, Clayton McDonald, with whom she shared many cherished years and memories and called him the Love of Her Life. Her Uncle Alan and Donna Yielding of Ward whom she dearly cherished. She is proceeded in death by her Mother Linda Yielding of Beebe and Father Ray Yielding of Ward AR.
Carla was a devoted mother to her children, Daughter Sasha Conner of Drasco, Son Eric Haynes, her Honorary Daughter Mandy Horton of Ward AR and Daughter Rachael McDonald of Texas . She was a loving Nana to 13 Grandchildren, Tyson, Tayler, Keelie, Elizabeth, Sarah, Ein, Holden, Brooke, Maggie, Emma, Sirus, Benny and Natalie. A proud great-grandmother to 4 great grandchildren Oliver, Waylon, Delilah and Brylie. And many Nieces and Nephews.
Carla had 4 Brothers and 2 Sisters. The memories and moments they shared throughout their lives will remain a treasured part of her family’s story.
Family was a precious part of Carla’s life. She cherished the love, laughter, and memories shared with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and extended family.
She grew up in Beebe Ar, where her family owned the local bakery. She spent 30 years in home health care. Her compassion for caregiving was unmatched. Carla will be remembered for her free spirit, kind heart, and the love she shared with those around her. Carla was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life touched the hearts of many. She had a special way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her laughter, compassion, and beautiful spirit created lasting memories for everyone fortunate enough to know her and all those whose lives she touched.
Carla will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain in our hearts forever.
There will be a celebration of life for Carla on October 17th, 2026 at Monk Cemetery at 11:00 AM
