Heather Marie DeVor

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Heather Marie DeVor, who passed away on October 1, 2026, in Morgantown, West Virginia, at the age of 48.

Heather was born on November 3, 1977, in Bluefield, West Virginia, to Jack and Brenda (Beckett) DeVor.

Heather had a special love for her cats and found joy in crocheting, a hobby that allowed her creativity and caring nature to shine. Heather loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them laughing and hearing old tales of their shenanigans. Heather loved laughing and making others smile.

Heather is survived by her siblings, Jacky DeVor and Jessie DeVor, and Jessie’s fiancé, Matthew Cox. As well as her beloved best friend and cousin, Chrissy Beckett (Spouse Jo’Be Sullivan and their children Alexa Rae (Heather’s Rae of Sunshine) and Jackson who loved to learn to crochet from Heather. She also leaves behind so many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will deeply miss her.

Heather was proceeded in death by her father Jack DeVor, her maternal grandparents, Howard and Tillie Beckett and paternal grandparents Edward and Jane DeVor.

Thank you for keeping Heather and everyone who loved her in your thoughts, prayers, and hearts during this difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Heather. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to provide the Heather the peaceful and dignified burial she deserves.
