Beloved Daughter, Mother, and Grandmother

Sandra (Sandy) Jean Carver (1955- 2026) Beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and wife quietly passed away from cancer in the early morning of Saturday October 10th in Duplin County, North Carolina.

Sandy grew up in the small city of Marine City Michigan where she attended Holy Cross Catholic school. After she graduated from high school she married Robert Burgett. They had four children; Michelle, Clifton, Adrienne, and Elizabeth.

Sandy pursued many careers throughout her life and was consistently admired by her coworkers as a truly dedicated and hardworking individual. She was an avid bowler, puzzler, card player, and pet owner. She always had a hobby or interest that also involved her children and grandchildren. With all the things she achieved in life, her family was the most important.

One of Sandy’s most cherished moments was when her children surprised her with a trip to Ireland. She embarked on this adventure with two of her daughters and granddaughters, and it became an unforgettable experience filled with joy and discovery. Together, they explored the breathtaking countryside and connected with warm-hearted locals at charming establishments. Sandy’s passion for travel and new experiences shone brightly during this trip, making it a truly meaningful highlight for her and her family.

Sandy made it a priority to always attend her grandchildren’s high school graduations. She was determined to travel to every single one, no matter where they were, because of her love and pride for her family.. Her joy and admiration for her grandchildren shone through in every interaction and was beautifully captured in her beloved collection of photos displayed proudly in her home.

Sandy had a wonderful sense of humor and truly loved to share laughter with her family. She eagerly joined in her kids' jokes, adding her own spin to the moment. Her playful spirit constantly amazed her grandchildren, as she delighted in surprising them with her humor and embracing the jokes started by her kids, leaving everyone laughing and feeling the fun of these shared moments.

Sandra is survived by her husband Charlie Carver, brothers Charles and Dan Biland and her sister Debbie Beier. Her children, their spouses, and grandchildren; Michelle Meldrum- Leah, Jenna, and Kendra; Clifton and Jayne Fraley-Burgett- Ethan, Jonas, Evangeline, Aiden;, Adrienne and David Vaccaro- Fedlina and Phil McCrary, Elijah and Gia Nessa Burgett, Jaylee, Stephanie and Ryan Kelly; and Elizabeth and Micheal Wilson- Brennen. She also had many great grandchildren Emma, Vincent, Elena, Eva, Kane, Crue, and Rayna
