Richard Douglas Bradley

With gratitude for a life centered on family, love, and laughter, Richard Bradley, 60, passed away on October 13, 2026, in Dallas, North Carolina. Born on August 23, 1966, Rick was known for his gentle spirit, big heart, and the joy he found in making others laugh.

He worked many jobs through the years to provide for his family and spent many years at Pallets and Such in Bessemer City. Yet of all the things he gave his time and energy to, his greatest accomplishment was always his family. Rick was deeply proud of his children, His oldest son -David Mathis (Jessica), His only daugther -Kristina Mathis, and his youngest son -Nicholas Bradley (Mary), and he loved to brag on his grandchildren, Avery Mathis, Eli Mathis, Starla Huber, Paisley Norman, Nick Bradley Jr., and Noah Bradley. He is also remembered by his siblings, David Laux and Steven Laux (Christy Laux), along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela “Dinky” McEntyre Bradley, described as the one love of his life; his mother, Marie DeFrancia Bradley; his father, Steven Bradley; and his siblings Diane Merck, Christine Collins, Sandra Rigdon, and Scott Bradley.

Rick was a lifelong Denver Broncos fan, and those who knew him will remember both his sense of humor and the pride he took in the people he loved most. He was a humble believer in Christ and, later in life, became a follower of Christ. In his final months, he found peace in going home and in the promise of eternal life with his Savior.

Richard Bradley’s life will be remembered with love, with smiles, and with deep appreciation for the devotion he gave to his family.
