Migel Lozano
Migel “Mike” Lozano
Migel “Mike” Lozano, 79, passed away on August 6, 2026, in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was born on September 22, 1946, in Kerrville, Texas, to Manuel Ruiz Lozano and Maria Romero Lozano.
Mike proudly served in the United States Army. After completing his military service, he met the love of his life, Dora Lozano. They were married on June 20, 1969, and had just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. Mike was a loving husband and father to Rusty Lozano, Michael Lozano, and Heather Lozano.
His greatest joy was his family. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren and was blessed to meet and love his great-grandchildren. Mike treasured every moment spent with his family and was always ready to share his love, kindness, and warm heart with those around him.
Alongside caring for his family and serving his church, Mike worked in the oilfield for many years. He was a hardworking man who devoted his life to providing for and caring for the people he loved.
Mike was a devoted member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church, where his faith and fellowship were an important part of his life. For 30 years, he lovingly served in the church nursery. Mike had a special gift for caring for little ones and could often be found snuggling the precious babies in his care. His gentle heart and love for children brought joy to many families throughout the years.
Mike loved football, and his favorite team was the Chicago Bears. He also enjoyed playfully teasing his wife about who got to watch what on TV. If you were ever around Mike, chances are he would tease you, make you laugh, or put a smile on your face. His sense of humor, warm personality, and ability to make others feel loved will always be remembered.
Mike will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Dora; his children, Michael and Heather; his ten grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; and the many family members, friends, and church family whose lives he touched. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
