Margaret Kirkland-Williams, 80, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 3, 2026, at UPMC Medical Center in Pittsburgh.
Born in Blackville, South Carolina, on April 22, 1946, to the late Robert and Grace Ann Kirkland, Margaret dedicated her life to faith, family, and community service. At the age of 20, she relocated to Lake City, South Carolina, where she embraced her calling early in life. She became an ordained minister at age 30 and went on to establish Prayeroom Storehouse Mission C.O.G.I.C., faithfully serving the congregation for 26 years before making her home in Johnstown.
She is reunited in heaven with her beloved daughter, Lavette A. Kirkland, and her cherished grandchild, Vannay Kirkland.
Her legacy continues through those she leaves behind:
Sons: Ricky Kirkland (Chicago, IL) and Rabin Kirkland (Atlanta, GA).
Grandchildren: Simeon Kirkland of Johnstown, PA—whom she raised as her own son—Rickia Kirkland, Ricky Kirkland Jr., and Rabin Kirkland Jr.
Extended Family: A loving host of nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and extended relatives.
Homegoing Services will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Moskal & Kennedy Funeral Home, 219 Ohio St, Johnstown, PA 15902.
