Richard Allen Ball

Jan 1975 - Oct 2010
Olympia, WA

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Ball, who was born January 1975 he passed October 2026 in Olympia, Washington. Final Telling for Richard “Richee” Ball

Warrior. Lover. Best Friend. Son. Father. Little Brother.

Hear this last time, and hold it close.

There walked among us a man named Richard Ball — Richee to every soul who ever felt the full force of his heart. He was a warrior forged in hardship. The world locked him behind walls for long, bitter years, and those walls tried to take everything from him. They failed. He rose again and again, scarred but unbroken, always reaching, always trying. That stubborn fire is the mark of a true fighter — the kind the old gods recognize at once.

But more than a warrior, Richee loved with a depth that could shake the earth.

He loved the way the sea loves the shore — fierce, relentless, and without end. When he gave his heart, he gave it completely. There was no half-measure in him. He would have laid down his life without hesitation for the ones he claimed as his own. That was not poetry to him. It was simply the truth of how he was made.

He lived for his son.

When fatherhood called, Richee answered with every piece of himself. He changed the course of his life — not for comfort, not for show, but so a boy would grow up knowing the unbreakable love of a father who would die for him a thousand times over. In his child’s eyes he found the reason to keep fighting when the night was darkest. That love remade him. It was his greatest victory and his deepest purpose.

Those who knew him will tell you: Richee could turn any frown upside down. He lit every room he entered the way a great hall fire lights the faces of the clan. Even when his own past weighed heavy, he poured light outward. He made people feel seen. He made them laugh when laughter felt impossible. That was another form of his love — the everyday kind that warms the cold places in others.

A brother to always remember

A best friend who stood when others stepped away.

A lover who gave without keeping score.

And a father whose love ran deeper than any ocean.

The long road is finished.

Yet the saga does not end in silence.

Raise the horn high. Speak his name with pride and with ache.

Richard Ball goes now to the golden halls.

To Valhalla.

Where the broken are made whole.

Where the fighters who never quit are welcomed home.

Where a man who loved this deeply is remembered forever in the stories told by the fire.

Where the light he carried becomes part of the eternal blaze.

Rest well, Richee.

You fought hard.

You loved harder than most ever dare.

You never stopped trying.

The table is set.

The doors stand open.

The Allfather knows your name.

Until we meet again in the mead-hall of the brave.

Those who wish to honor Richard's memory are invited to support their family.

In memory of Richard Ball

**For the Future of Richee’s Son** The saga of Richard “Richee” Ball does not end with his journey to Valhalla. A warrior who loved deeper than the sea has left behind the greatest treasure he ever claimed — his son. That boy now walks the road without the shield-arm of the father who would have died for him a thousand times. The path ahead will not be easy. But the clan does not abandon its own. In the old way, when a warrior fell, the people gathered not only to mourn, but to lift up those he left behind. So it is now. A fund has been raised in Richee’s name — for the future of his son. For the years still to come. For the chances a father would have fought to give him. For the life Richee changed himself to protect. Every gift, every raised horn, every act of standing with the boy is a continuation of the love Richee carried so fiercely. It is the living proof that his fight was not in vain. If you knew him — if his light ever warmed your room, if his laughter ever turned your frown, if his stubborn heart ever reminded you what it means to keep trying — stand with his son now. Honor the warrior by protecting what he loved most. **For the boy.** **For the father who lives on in him.** **For the road still ahead.** The table in Valhalla is set. Let us make certain the path on earth is strong. In Richee’s name. Until the mead-hall calls us all.
