In Loving Memory

Paul Alden Richter Jr., 63, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2026, at his home.

Born on June 21, 1963, in Ludlow, MA, Paul was the son of the late Paul and Jean (Canty) Richter. He moved to Springfield at the age of two and grew up in Wellesley. After spending time in Boston, Paul eventually settled in Three Rivers, where he made his home for the past 20 years.

Paul had a love for music and the arts. A talented guitarist, he enjoyed both listening to and playing music. He also found joy when sketching, painting, and writing poetry. Another set of his many talents.

In his younger years, Paul enjoyed fishing, and he cherished the memories of taking his children tent and RV camping as they grew up. He also enjoyed watching football .and spending as much time as possible with his family.

Paul was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Jean Richter, and his brother, Gary Richter.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Cheryl (Akusis) Richter; his children, Elizabeth Richter, Alden Richter, and Leeanne Richter; and his cherished grandchildren, Jasmyn, Natalia, Damien, Aiden, Gabriella, Rowan, and Rylee. He also leaves his siblings, Mark Richter and his wife, Janelle; Wayne Richter; Ruth Richter; Jean Howard and her partner, Dennis Spalding. As well as his best friend, Timothy Deegan and his wife, Brenda Deegan.

Paul will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, kindness, humility, and generous nature. To know this man was to love him. It was impossible not to. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday October 22nd at the Quaboag Church on 175 Fiskdale Rd. in Brookfield, MA 01506.

There will not be a reception afterwards as Cheryl Richter, Paul's wife of 43 years, is very ill. Therefore, the family has scheduled a private gathering for when she is feeling better.
