Her Hands Held Us, Her Love Will Guide Us Forever

Maria was born on December 31, 1938, in Isabela, Puerto Rico, to Julian Lopez and Elidia Garcia. She peacefully passed away on October 28, 2026 in Bayville, New Jersey.

She was the loving and devoted mother of five children: Awilda, Ivette, Maritza, Rosa, and Henry. A woman of incredible strength, courage, and unconditional love, Maria raised her five children as a single mother, never faltering in her dedication to giving them the best life she could.

She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, sharing laughter, making memories, and, of course, enjoying a little fun at the casino!

Mom, your strength, love, and sacrifices will never be forgotten. You were our rock, our inspiration, and our greatest blessing. We will love you forever and miss you more than words can express. Thank you for everything and, most of all, thank you for being the best Mami! ❤️
