My heart breaks thinking I just talked to her the night before. I didn't know what she was feeling and going through. I blame myself for not being able to stop it. I will forever love and miss you.
Katherine Grace Odom
IN LOVING MEMORY
Katherine Grace Odom, 27, passed away on November 2, 2026, leaving behind a world that will never be quite as bright without her.
Katherine was a beautiful soul with a heart full of love and a spirit that could light up any room. She was bubbly, kind, loving, and full of life. Wherever she went, she brought sunshine, laughter, and warmth. Her smile was contagious, her laughter unforgettable, and her presence had a way of making even the simplest moments feel special. She was the kind of person whose light stayed with you long after she had left the room.
Above all else, Katherine was a devoted mother to her three precious children, Anastasia, Paislynn, and Raia, who were the greatest loves of her life. She was a beloved wife to Elgin Garcia, whom she married in 2022. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and the memories they shared will forever be treasured. Though her children are far too young to understand the depth of this loss, they will always carry their mother’s love with them in their laughter, their smiles, and the beautiful pieces of her that live on within them.
Katherine had a creative and colorful spirit. She loved painting, expressing herself through art, listening to early 2000s alternative music, and escaping into the world of Naruto anime. She embraced the things she loved with a passion and personality all her own. These little pieces of Katherine will forever bring smiles to those who knew her best.
Behind Katherine’s bright smile, she was fighting battles that were not always visible to the world. She struggled with depression and borderline personality disorder, carrying pain that was often difficult to put into words. After years of fighting an internal battle, Katherine’s pain became more than she could bear, and she passed away far too soon. While her family grieves the circumstances of her passing, they will forever remember that she was so much more than the struggles she faced. She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, and a friend. She was laughter, kindness, creativity, and love. Her struggles were part of her story, but they were never the entirety of who she was.
Her passing leaves behind a heartbreak that words can never fully express. There will be moments when her family reaches for the phone to call her, moments when a familiar song brings her close again, and moments when they would give anything to hear her laugh or see her beautiful smile just one more time. Though the world will continue to turn, a piece of their hearts will forever be missing.
May Katherine’s memory remind us to love deeply, to show compassion to those fighting unseen battles, and to cherish the people who bring sunshine into our lives. May we remember that even the brightest smiles can hide the deepest pain, and that kindness is never wasted.
Katherine’s time here was far too short, but the love she gave was endless. She will live on through her children, in the hearts of her family, in every brushstroke of color, in every familiar song, and in every memory that brings both tears and smiles.
Though we wish we could have had more time, we are forever grateful for every moment we were blessed to share with her.
Forever our sunshine. Forever our beautiful girl. Forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
Rest peacefully, Katherine. You will always be a part of us.
