To my wonderful Aunt, Words cannot fully express how grateful I am to have had you in my life. Thank you for your endless support, your beautiful smile, and the absolute joy you brought into every room you walked into. You weren't just my family; you were a true confidant and a magnificent friend. I will miss your laughter, your hugs, and the comfort of knowing you were always there. I promise to carry your values with me and make you incredibly proud. Love you Auntie Big Momma!
June Miltenberger
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of June Miltenberger, who lived from May 7, 1948 to October 28, 2026 in Seattle, Washington, United States.
June “June Bug” passed away peacefully, reunited with her beloved husband just days after his departure. After 60 years of marriage, it is deeply believed that Big Mama passed away from a broken heart following her husband's passing on October 18, 2026.
June was a vibrant soul who brought warmth, creativity, and generosity to everyone she met. An avid outdoorswoman and crafter, she could most often be found visiting her horses, quilting beautiful treasures, or spending time with her cherished dog.
Above all, Big Mama had a servant’s heart. Alongside her husband and children, she dedicated her life to raising a family and giving back to her community, with a special passion for feeding the homeless and ensuring those around her felt loved and cared for.
She leaves behind a legacy of deep love and devotion through her two beautiful daughters, April (lovingly known as RyeLeigh Rue) as well as a community that is profoundly better for having known her.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make a donation to Seattle’s rescue mission.
Those who wish to honor June's memory are invited to plant a tree in their name.
