Anthony "Tony" Barnett
August 26, 1972 – November 2, 2026
Anthony “Tony” Barnett was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, nephew, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Tony was someone who loved being surrounded by family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and was always joking around, bringing laughter to the people around him. He enjoyed the simple things in life, including playing his guitar, fishing, golfing, and cheering on his beloved Louisville Cardinals. Whether he was spending time with loved ones, enjoying the outdoors, or sharing a laugh, Tony made memories that those closest to him will carry forever.
Tony is survived by his parents, Peggy Douglas and Jason Douglas; his sister, Dawn Dutton (Stephen Dutton); his brother, Adam Douglas (Emily Douglas); his children, Brooke Barnett and Kobe Barnett; and his grandson, Jacob Barnett. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Though his time with us was not long enough, the memories, laughter, and love Tony leaves behind will never be forgotten. He will live on in the stories told, the jokes remembered, the songs played, and the many memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brownsboro Community Center. This will be an open-house gathering, and family and friends are welcome to stop by at any time during those hours, stay as long as they'd like, and spend time together remembering and celebrating Tony's life. A special time of prayer, candle lighting, and sharing memories will take place at 4:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Tony are welcome to join us as we honor his life and the memories he leaves behind.
