Growing up in Lewiston, Maine, Fernande attended local schools before embarking on a career that showcased her remarkable talents. Her passion for sewing led her to become a seamstress by trade, and she eventually owned and operated the House of Stitches in Anchorage, Alaska. Fernande’s meticulous attention to detail and eye for design were evident in her exquisite work, particularly in creating many wedding gowns and stitching garments for her children & grandchildren. She had a passion for kitting and crocheting which benefitted many.
