Cynthia Huff

Cynthia Huff of Chula Vista, CA passed away peacefully at her home on Oct 8, 2026.

She was born on December 24, 1934, in Syracuse NY to Joseph and Anna Riehle. Shortly after graduating from nursing school, she packed her car and drove across the country to a nursing job in Oxnard, CA. She continued her nursing career until retirement in 1993. Outside of work, Cindy raised 7 children, volunteered, and supported her local sport teams (even if none of her kids or grandkids were playing). She remained a faithful Padres and Charger fan until the end.

She is survived by her sister Joanne, 6 children, 18 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren and all the friends that became family along the way. She was proceeded in death by her husband Jack, her son Tim and her grandson Timothy.

Memorial service will be on Friday, December 4 at 1:00PM at St Pius X Church in Chula Vista where she was a long-time parishioner. Please do not wear black, Mom's preference is to have a colorful memorial. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donation be made to The Arc of San Diego where Cindy donated her time.
