Tribute to My Beloved Mom Mummy, it is so difficult to say goodbye to you. When I think back to my childhood, I remember how much you cared for me, especially during the times I was always sick with measles while I was in elementary school. You were always there beside me, caring for me, comforting me, watching over me, and making sure I was okay. Your love and sacrifice during those difficult moments are memories I will carry in my heart forever. You were a woman who never gave up on her children. You were willing to do any legitimate job, no matter how difficult, tiring, or demanding it was, just to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. You worked hard because your children were your priority. You wanted to see all of us succeed, become independent, and be well-to-do in life. Mummy, you sacrificed so much for us. You may not have had an easy journey, but you kept going. You carried the burdens of motherhood with strength and determination. You gave us opportunities, sent us to school, encouraged us to become better, and did everything within your power to give us a good foundation in life. Today, I understand more than ever that many of the things I have become and the opportunities I have had are because of your sacrifices. Your hands worked for us. Your heart prayed for us. Your strength carried us. Your love surrounded us. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 4:7: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” Mummy, you truly fought a good fight. You gave life your best, you stood strong for your family, and you left behind a legacy that will continue through your children and grandchildren. It is so difficult to say goodbye because a part of my heart will always belong to you. I wish I could hear your voice again, see your smile, and simply have you here with us. But I take comfort in knowing that your love, sacrifices, teachings, and memories will never die. Thank you for being my mother. Thank you for caring for me when I was sick. Thank you for working so hard for us. Thank you for believing in your children and always wanting the best for us. You will forever be remembered, forever loved, and forever missed. Rest peacefully, Mummy. Your fight is over, your faith remains, and your legacy lives on through us. Ki olorun te yin si afefe rere loruko Jesu! I love you, Mummy. Timi Maraiyesa

The Life and Legacy of My Beloved Mother
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Bernice Adetowun Ogunbande (JP) Nee Otayemi, who lived from December 28, 1945 to August 5, 2026 in Ogun State, Nigeria.
My beloved mother was a strong, loving, and devoted woman whose life was a blessing to her family. She was married to Julius Adebayo Ogunbande, and together they were blessed with seven children.
Sadly, two of her children went to be with the Lord, but as the strong woman she was, she remained steadfast and devoted herself to raising the remaining five children. Through her strength, sacrifices, prayers, and determination, she trained us, sent us to school, and gave us a good foundation and a lasting legacy that we will forever cherish.
She lived a fulfilling life and was blessed with the opportunity to travel as a pilgrim to Jerusalem. She also traveled to Germany and the United States to visit and spend precious moments with her grandchildren.
Our mother was a woman of strength, faith, love, and perseverance. Her legacy lives on through the lives of her children, grandchildren, and everyone she touched.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Julius Adebayo Ogunbande, and her five children. Though she is no longer with us, her love, teachings, sacrifices, and beautiful memories will remain in our hearts forever.
May her gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace. Amen.
